“ Amazing authentic Mexican food in Reykjavik! High recommended! Don’t get lost! Restaurant is upstairs with a bigger menu while the downstairs bar Elly also serves a slimmer version of the restaurant menu! “ Went here for dinner, the staff wasn't really the friendliest to us, and really didn't wait on us either. The food wasn't very good either for the price you pay, its far from mexican food. My chicken tacos were extremely runny and the shell fell apart completely when you tried to pick it up to eat too. ”

“ The place is tiny and packed. You walk upstairs and wait to be seated, the bathrooms are very awkwardly right behind other diners tables. We didn’t wait long to be seated but it appeared only one woman was taking orders and helping to serve most of the food so in general service was slow. My dish was extremely hot (spicy), I was refilling my water cup every few minutes and couldn’t even finish the dish. My husband’s burrito was good but the nachos had the same extreme spice level so it was really hard to enjoy our meal. This was unfortunate, and likely my fault not reading the menu properly. The food however did seem very fresh and to be of quality ingredients. ”

The fact that it is in Reykjavik blows my mind. I sampled all the tacos and all were excellent. Don't miss out on the nachos. I can't remember the last time I had tortilla chips that good. Top that off with a house branded dark lager and I feel like I am back in Mexico. Hope I can get back before the end of the week for one of the awesome looking barritos. ”
